Cramer, Matthew John Jr. age 91, went to be with the Lord, on December 26, 2025. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Ruthann, and a sister, Julianne Markey.

Matthew was born in Altadena, California on November 10, 1934. He married Ruthann Ward on April 23, 1954 in Boise, Idaho. They lived in southern California and then moved to Sacramento, California in the early 1960s. Matthew worked for Aerojet, a rocket propulsion company, as a Program Manager for the Apollo Space program. He and Ruthann were very involved in their church, St. Mary's, and later became involved in the Charismatic Renewal, providing support and counseling to many in need.

Matthew and Ruthann moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the early 1980s. Matthew was employed by Honeywell Military Avionics Division and worked as a program manager for the Apache Helicopter. He and his wife continued to be involved in Christian ministry, providing prayer, counseling, speaking to groups, and writing articles and books on the Christian life. They established a website, the Cramer-Institute.com, where they posted their talks and articles. (Access is still available.) Matthew published many books, including Not without Spirit, Blood Cries, Living the New Life and Who is God?. Matthew's desire throughout his life was for others to know God's immense love for them.

Matthew is lovingly remembered by his son, Thomas (Anne) Cramer, and daughter, Cheryl (Carmine) Carbone; grandchildren Jennifer (Matt) Carner, Michael (Elizabeth) Carbone, Rebekah Kreger, Daniel (Jenna) Carbone, Joshua (Natasha) Cramer, Andrew Carbone, Benjamin Cramer and Joseph (Ashley Hardy) Cramer: great-grandchildren Giavanna Carner, Alex Kreger, Charlie Carner, Elsie Carner, Gabriel Cramer, Phoebe Cramer, Frehley Perez, Faustina Carbone, Stella Carbone and Walter Carbone.

Visitation and funeral mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 19795 Holyoke Ave, Lakeville, MN on Friday, January 2nd, 2026. Visitation begins at 10:00 am with mass following at 11:00 am. There will be no reception following the service.
