Matthew Alan Gadient, known affectionately as Matt by his friends and family, passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 41. Born on May 31, 1984, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Matt was a man of great humor, love, and passion. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember Matt for the way he lived his life and for the profound impact he had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Matt is survived by a loving family that includes his wife, Kelly Gadient; his stepson, Liam Hatfield; his mother, Rebecca Powers; his father, Gene Gadient; his stepmother, Lisa Gadient; his brother, Steven Gadient; his sister-in-law, Lauren Gadient; his niece, Isabel Gadient; his sister, Leann Lee; his brother-in-law, Denis Lee; and his sister, Katie Gadient. He was a treasured nephew to his aunts and uncles, Jenny and Bryan Perry, Debbie Roush, Janet and Jack Massey, and Debra Allison. His presence will also be deeply missed by his cousins, including Morgan, Jordan, Suzanne, Colt, Mandi, and Erin, and additional extended family, who found joy in his vibrant spirit. Matt was preceded in death by his uncle Larry Roush, and his paternal grandparents Amos and Virginia Gadient, as well as his maternal grandparents Larry and Linda McMillan.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Matt served his country with honor and dedication. That same devotion was reflected in the way he cared for his loved ones and his community.

Matt's love for the outdoors was one of his greatest joys. Whether woodworking, camping, hiking, fishing, or hunting, he found peace and purpose in nature. These passions were more than hobbies-they were the foundation of cherished memories created with his family and friends.

Those who knew Matt will remember his sharp wit, his warm heart, and his passion for life. He could bring laughter into any room, and his kindness made everyone feel welcome. His enthusiasm for life was inspiring, encouraging others to embrace each day fully and love deeply.

As Helen Keller once said, "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Matt's laughter, love, and spirit will remain forever with those who knew him. Though our hearts ache with his loss, his light will continue to guide us, reminding us to live with purpose, love, and a little humor-just as he did.
