Edward Micheal Gadient, known affectionately as Ed, passed away at the age of 57 on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He entered this life on September 4, 1967, in Rochester, Minnesota, to the late David and Kathleen (Diderrich) Gadient.
Raised in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, Ed was a 1985 graduate of Ketchum High School. Ed spent several years working at Eastern State Hospital in Vinita, Oklahoma, where he dedicated himself to the care and support of others. For the last 26 years, he served his community as a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Centerton, Arkansas.
Since 2002, Ed had been a cherished resident of Pineville, Missouri, where he built a life full of love, laughter, and the simple joys that meant the most to him. His love for all kinds of automobiles was well-known, and he could often be found tinkering with engines or admiring the sleek lines of a classic car. Mud racing was another of Ed's passions, providing him with both excitement and camaraderie. He also found joy in the world of RC cars, where he combined his love for vehicles with the thrill of competition. Ed was a true people person. He never met a stranger and would talk to folks everywhere he went.
Ed's life was a tapestry woven with the love of his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Angie Gadient, of the home; his son, Michael Gadient of Pineville, Missouri; his stepmother, Charlene Green and her husband, Sam, of Omaha, Arkansas; his brother, Joe Gadient of Greenfield, Missouri; and his sisters, Cheryl Verrette of Branson, Missouri, Sheila Miller of Willard, Missouri, and Charlene Gadient of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He also leaves behind two stepbrothers, Brian Meyer of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and Brad Meyer of Miami, Oklahoma; and a stepsister, Brenda Meyer of Springfield, Missouri. Ed's memory will be cherished by a host of other family members and friends who were blessed to know him.
Memorial services are 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Northwest Church in Bentonville, Arkansas, 301 SW Unity Blvd, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712. Services are under the direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.

I was so saddened to hear about Ed's passing. He was a truly wonderful man and such a joy to be around. He was our letter carrier when we lived in Centerton and he always went out of his way to do make sure we got our mail even when we moved away. I ended up working at the post office with him for a few years and I consider myself lucky to get to know him and work beside him. May God be with you Angie and Michael as this very sad time. May Ed's memories pull you through. God bless you and your family.
