Port Matilda, Pennsylvania - Matthew Hall, 75, of Port Matilda, PA, passed away peacefully on 8/14/2025 at Embassy at Hearthside nursing facility.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 20th 1950 to Thomas Hall and Barbara Emery Hall. Matthew was born fourth among siblings Thomas, Peter, Harry, and Meredith. Matthew grew up in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Attended University of Maine at Orono studying music, where he met the love of his life Susan Fisher and married Susan, June 12th 1971.
He was preceded in death by his first child Caroline Hall Tracy in 2007. He is survived by his wife Susan Fisher Hall; his children: Elizabeth Buzzell, Kristen Corry, Jennifer Brezler, Rebecca Lytle, and David Hall; his grandchildren: Rose Tracy, Coral Coleman, Joshua Coleman, Elora Brumbaugh, Daniel Tracy, Erika Brumbaugh, Alyssa Brezler, Helena Corry, Gabrielle Brezler, Shane Corry, Frederick Brezler, Cameron Lytle, Elias Lytle, Gabriel Lytle, Martin Lytle, and his great grandchildren: Akasha Snook, Madison Caroline Tracy, Loralei Kresen, Archer Kresen, Aryabella Wilson, and Forest Kresen.
Matthew was renowned for his fondness for the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, love of Suzy-Qs and his made-up silly words that he had for everyday things. He will be remembered for his kindness, unique personality and love of his family and beloved cat Toebee. Through his faith in God, may he be with his daughter Caroline and among the rest of his family in heaven.
