On January 8, 2025, Matt passed away at Jefferson Hospital in Cherry Hill surrounded by family after a valiant battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Born and raised in Cherry Hill, Matt was a graduate of Cherry Hill East High School where he excelled at gymnastics and was a recent inductee into their sports hall of fame. Matt continued his gymnastics career in college graduating from the University of Michigan as an All Academic Big 10 athlete. He subsequently graduated cum laude with his chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic Medicine. Dr. Matt was currently practicing at Health Goals Chiropractic in Marlton and is also a certified chiropractic sports physician. Besides his friendly house calls, Dr. Matt also volunteered every year for the Special Olympic Summer Games.
Matt had a passion for golf, was a faithful supporter of Michigan Athletics, never gave up on the Phillies, and loved being a Dad. He was overjoyed to witness Michigan have one last win over Ohio State this year. To him the Wolverines will always be the National Champions. Matt was grounded in his unwavering faith and his love of Christ. He was forever grateful for his friends at FAC and Kingsway Assembly of God.
Matt is lovingly survived by his children, Ryan, Noah, Emily and Julia; his parents, Theodore G. and Barbara Harrison; his brothers, David and Mark (Regina) Harrison, his sister, Stephanie (RT) Greeby as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Thursday, January 16th from 9:00 - 10:30 AM at Kingsway Assembly of God, 2701 Chapel AVenue North, Cherry Hill, NJ where his Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM. A luncheon will follow for family and friends to celebrate Matt's life. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, www.lls.org

I'm stunned and saddened to hear of Matt's passing. We competed together on CHE's gymnastics team and with private clubs. In the Summer we'd compete against each other diving. Matt helped me get my first lifeguard job. He was a great competitor and a good friend. I am so sorry.

We knew Matthew for a while from the church we attended with him. We were so sad to hear he had passed, and we send our sympathy to the family. We also offer our services to the family by way of Helping Hand Grief support for help in the loss of Matthew. We pray your memories of Matthew will be a comfort from the precious time you had with him. We will remember our last time with him at Fellowship Alliance Church.

Matt was friend and teammate. We shared a passion for gymnastics and belonged to two teams together, Cherry Hill East and our club team at The Gymnastics Academy. We would frequently carpool to the gym thanks to our devoted parents. I was a few years ahead of Matt and marveled at the rapid progress he made becoming a superb gymnast. He was good natured and encouraged those around him to get better. I´m so sorry to hear of his passing.
