Hancock Funeral Home, Inc. - AmericusMatthew Gray Hunt, 54, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2025, at his home in Americus, Georgia.
Born on August 6, 1970, in Bradenton, Florida, he was the son of the late Louis and Dorothy Hunt. He worked as a private investigator in Florida for Chuck Chambers.
He is survived by his sister, Cindy Keck (Steve); his children, Randy Hunt, Cheyenne Jacobs, Jonah Hunt, Noah Hunt, Gabriel Hunt, Elijah Hunt, Leland Hunt, Gracie Hunt, Ellie Hunt, Bella Hunt, and Raylen Hunt; as well as five grandchildren, Braden Hunt, Brantley Hunt, Kwali Deveaux, Izzara Deveaux, and Payton Hunt.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Fredrick Hunt.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 beginning at 4:00PM at the Palmetto Cemetery, 900 14th Ave West, Palmetto, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 270 Peachtree St NW, Suite 1300 Atlanta, GA 30303
