Matthew Corey Lynch
Matthew "Corey" Lynch was born at Wilson N Jones Hospital in Sherman Texas on August 26, 1977, and went to be with Jesus on January 27, 2025, in Durant Oklahoma. Matthew was known by "Corey" by his family and close friends. Corey was the middle child to the parents of Jimmy and Karen Elmore and Ronny and Sherry Lynch. Corey was 47 years old at the time of his passing.
Corey was preceded in passing by his grandparents, Walter and Wanda Skipworth, John and Margret Lynch and Marie Odom, his uncle, Charles Bradley, and aunt Pam Lynch
Corey is survived by his brother, Jason Lynch, brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Amanda Giest, and sister, Rebecca Lynch, aunts and uncles, Terry and Phyllis Skipworth, Tim and Chris Belair, Jimmy and Sheila Robbins, Glen and Kim Lane, Janice Yeary, Penny Luce, Carolyn Stephenson and Johnny Lynch, nieces, Ryleigh Lynch; Hailey Geist: Addison Geist; Makenzie Williams, nephews, Brayden Lynch, Dakota Golden, and many, many cousins.
Corey grew up in Sherman Texas and graduated from Sherman High School in 1995 and was a member of the Sherman High School Choir. Corey had several jobs in Sherman from MEMC to Kaiser Aluminum with a two-year stint in the US Navy. Corey took pride in his jobs he had and worked very hard.
Corey was a man with a big heart and very compassionate in helping others and dedicated to his family.
Corey loved NASCAR, fishing, pets and just being outdoors.
Services for Corey will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 31, 2025, at Park Avenue Church of Christ in Denison, TX; with Minister Todd Catteau officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm Thursday January 30, 2025, at Fisher Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Robbins, Tim Yeary, Chris Yeary, Nigel Yeary, Mason Yeary, Seth Yeary, Collin Skipworth and David Ulch.
