Matthew “Matt” White, 25, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly, on March 5, 2024.
A funeral service to honor Matt’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 16th at Cherry Point Baptist Church in Havelock, officiated by Rev. Steve Simpson. Interment will follow at Forest Oaks Memorial Gardens in Havelock. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through his obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. The service will remain on the Funeral Home website for 90 days.
Matt was born on July 30, 1998, in Morehead City, NC and grew up in Havelock. He was known for his infectious smile and compassionate heart and had an unwavering love for creating music. Matt passionately poured his heart into every lyric he created.
Matt also had a unique ability to make everyone feel seen and loved. He loved sports, especially football and basketball, and found joy in cheering on his favorite teams.
Matt was a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend. His untimely death has left a void in the hearts of all his family and friends. To say he will be missed is an understatement. May his memory be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Lisa Mauldin of Havelock, Matt White (Rebecca) of Newport; sisters, Dezorae Mauldin of Newport, and Kayla Alexis White of Charlotte; brothers, Kurtis Mauldin of Davidson, NC, Josiah Mauldin of Havelock, and Chris White of Ocala, FL; grandparents, Shirley and Tom Willson of Havelock, Sylvia White of Newport; great-grandmother, Margaret Mauldin of Pensacola, FL; aunts, Judy Findley (Jeremy) of Seminole, AL, Kari Mauldin of Havelock, Tracy Cox (Kenny) of East Bernstadt, KY, and Crystal Willson of London, KY; uncles, Eddie Willson (Apryl) of Deland, FL, and Andrew Willson (Felicia) of East Bernstadt, KY; many cousins and several great aunts and great uncles; and his significant other, Brittney Johnson of Havelock, who will forever cherish his memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Loaves and Fishes, 1700 Live Oak Street, Beaufort, NC 28516.
