Matthew Justin Mims, 47, of Hattiesburg, passed away on January 4, 2024. He was born to Jerry F. Mims and Lane Mims on January 13, 1976, in Augusta, GA.
Matthew is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry F. Mims and Lane Mims; two brothers Montaye Mims and Mark Mims. He lives on through the family he leaves behind. Matthew is survived by his brother Michael, sister-in-law Pam Murray, nephew Mikey Mims, niece Alicia Mims Chinn (Jasper Chinn), great-nephew Camden, great-niece Alaina, great-niece Berkley, great-niece Bella, and nephew Tyler Mims. Also surviving are his brother Mitch Mims, niece Lorna Mims, great-nephews Carson and Bastian, nephew Noah Mims, and uncle Jesse T (JT) Mims of Lagrange, GA.
As we reflect on the life of Matthew Justin Mims, let us cherish the memories of his kindness, intelligence, and unwavering love. Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be missed dearly. May we find solace in the memories we shared and the impact he had on each of our lives.

A Memorial Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, scheduled for January 20, 2024 @ 11 a.m. (1618 Broadway Drive, Hattiesburg, MS, 39402)
