Matthew Wade Minnis Jr., age 39, passed away on November 12, 2024, unexpectedly in his Casco Township home. He was born on May 15, 1985 in Port Huron.
Matthew was a hard worker in the flooring industry and an amazing father, son, brother, and friend. He had a love for computers, art, cooking, fishing, music, reading, and drawing. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and family playing horseshoes, as well as rapping with his brothers. He was a very all-around good and intelligent person. He was creative in many things, and he always tried to help anyone he could even up till his passing. He lived a life full of love and joy, as well as hardships, he was the light in many lives, mostly his children and family. He is loved and missed by all, cared for by many, but not forgotten by anyone.
He is survived by his parents; Mary (Manuel) Carr-Rodriguez and Matthew (Ladonna) Minnis Sr., mother of his children, Aisa Minnis, children; Matthew Minnis III, Sharon, Haley, and Sabrina, brothers; Nicholas Minnis, Jonathon Rodriguez, David Rodriguez and Brian McCallum, sister, Kayla Rodriguez, and step-sister, Stephanie Wheatley, life long friend, Joshua Kelly, along with many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and friends.
He was greeted in death by his; grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
