Matthew Duane Mireles November 21, 1978 – August 12, 2025 Matthew Duane Mireles, 46, of Roswell, NM, passed away on August 12, 2025. Born in Roswell to Thomas L. and Gracie G. Mireles, Matt was a devoted father, brother, son, and friend whose passion for family and community touched countless lives. He proudly served as a Firefighter Lieutenant and dedicated many years to youth sports, holding leadership roles in Dexter Little League, Dexter Youth Basketball, and coaching football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. Known for his fierce loyalty, quick wit, and big personality, Matt was a protector, encourager, and mentor to many. He is survived by his mother, Gracie Mireles; brother, Bryan Mireles; sons, Jacen Mireles, Izais Rodriguez, and Easton Mireles; granddaughter, Ella Rose Rodriguez; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Mireles; son, Xavier Robles; and other beloved family members. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Rincon, Amanda Regalado, Archie Duran, Sonny Duran, Ruben Ruiz, Anthony Fajardo, Giovanni Fajardo, Jaxon Fajardo, Adrienne Linares, Tayon Rajah, Justin Powell, and Dominic Natividad-Spear. Information about services to honor Matthew will be announced soon. Matt's love for his family, commitment to service, and ability to inspire others will be remembered always.
