On January 30th, 2025 Matthew James Morgan spent his final moments being snuggled and loved on by his family and went to be with Jesus. He celebrated his first birthday at home on January 10th, 2025 after spending nearly an entire year in the Cardiac ICU at OU Children's Hospital.
In the hospital he loved getting attention from all of his nurses, therapists, and physicians as long as they didn't wake him up early, give him shots, or make him cold-these actions resulted in growls and roars. But most of all he loved dancing to music, watching Bluey, "singing" with Mommy and Grammy, being held by his family members, and playing with his brother and his Daddy.
Matthew is preceded in death by his great grandparents Elton and Mary Lou Morgan, Kenneth and Nadine Weathers, and Guy Edward and Jo Nell Ross, his aunt Heather Morgan, as well as his Nonny Rhonda King.
He is survived by his parents Moriah and Jaymie Morgan, his brother John, his grandparents Roger and Lois Morgan, Daryl and Kimberly Ross, his great grandparents Bob and Carolyn Merrill, in addition to his 13 aunts, 15 uncles, 24 first cousins, as well as great aunts and uncles and their families.
Services will be held at Brookwood Baptist Church 8921 S Walker Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73139 on Friday, February 7th at 2:00pm. To send flowers to the family of Matthew, please visit our floral store.
