Matthew Ridenour, 49, of Franklin Township, passed away, unexpectedly, on Sunday, January 12, 2025. He was born in Akron on January 21, 1975, was a graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School and was known as “Big Matt from Brady Lake”.
He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Ridenour; grandmother Narcie Stover; and grandparents, Fred and Ida Ridenour.
Matt is survived by his father Phillip Ridenour; brother Phillip Ridenour Jr; cousin/best friend Carolynn Phillips; nephew Jack Ridenour and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In honoring his wishes, Matt will be cremated and visitation will be Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 10:00AM- 12:00PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240. A memorial service will follow at 12:00PM at the funeral home.
