Matthew Joseph Soria

Matthew Joseph Soria, 21, of Otterbein, IN, was born March 1, 2000 in Barrington, IL to Michael Soria and Kathy Bryant and passed away November 18, 2021. Matthew lived in San Antonio, TX for 19 years, and graduated from Johnson High School. Matthew never took life for granted and had many joys in life including his family, the ocean, trips to the beach to swim and feel the sand, walking in nature, picking out freshly cut flowers at the store, rollercoasters, drawing outside with chalk, VeggieTales, Dr. Seuss, Adele, Buckwheat Zydeco, amongst other musical groups, Rubix Cube, his IPad and other sorts of electronics, and bowling, in which he earned a gold, silver and bronze medal in the Texas State Special Olympics.

He participated in many walks for autism and never missed an opportunity to cheer on his brothers at swim meets and choir concerts!

Matthew had a heart as big as Texas, which he donated through the Indiana Donor Network. His huge heart and loving spirit touched innumerable lives.

In addition to his parents, Matthew is survived by his brothers Andrew Thomas Soria and Ryan Michael Carrillo Soria, grandparents Roy and Sherry Bryant, Uncle Chris Soria and wife Teresa, Uncle Charlie Bryant and his wife Susan, Uncle Rob Bryant and his wife Omaira, Aunt Rosemary Dennis and her husband Don, Michael's fiancé, Sarah McPherson, Uncle Joe Soria, Uncle David Jasinski, Uncle Ernest Jasinski, Aunt Evon Markum and several cousins and family.

Matthew was preceded in death by his nana Hopie Carrillo, grandfather Jose "Joe" Soria, great-grandmother Georgia Keller, and uncle Christopher Bryant.

All who knew Matthew will miss him dearly. Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Tippecanoe Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel with service to immediately follow at 11:00am.
