George Edward Bath, 84, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025.
Born on October 25, 1940, in Danville, IL, he was the son of Earl and Elizabeth "Betty" Bath. George was a 1960 graduate of Klondike High School. He began his career at Stiny's before becoming a dedicated cement truck driver.
An accomplished bowler, George won numerous championships and found joy in the sport throughout his life. He was a familiar face at the Checkerboard, where he enjoyed his daily lunch at his special seat. A lifelong NASCAR enthusiast, George was the biggest Dale Earnhardt fan and spent countless hours watching races.
George is survived by his niece, Ann Thomas; great-nephews, Blake, Branden, and Brendan; six great-great-nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law, Henrietta Bath. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Patricia Witt, and his brother, Patrick Bath.
In accordance with George's wishes, cremation will take place.
