Clifton Park - Matthew J. Sowalsky, 56, died suddenly Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at St. Peter's Hospital.
Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Michael J. Sowalsky, Sr. and Ann C. (King) Sowalsky Miller and husband of Tricia Bariteau Sowalsky. Tank lived in the Capital District his entire life, most recently residing in Clifton Park.
He was a maintenance supervisor for Prime Companies in Cohoes for 6 years.
Tank enjoyed working on bikes and cars and was a Brother to the Bad Moon Riders MC.
Survivors in addition to his wife, include his 3 children, Rebecca A. (Adam) Schrom, Troy, William M. (Stephanie) Sowalsky, Poestenkill, Ashley M. Sowalsky, Wynantskill; his step-children, Emily L. (Lonnie) Olivo and Jeremiah DeGiorgo both of Watervliet,; 6 grandchildren and 1 on the way; his brothers, Michael J. (Patty) Sowalsky, Jr and Mark W. (Emily) Sowalsky; his best friend, Charlie (Karen) Ayotte; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 4 - 6 PM with a service to follow at 6PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Matthew J. Sowalsky to the American Cancer Society One Penny Lane Latham, NY 12110.
