Matthew Paul Weatherly

Matthew Paul Weatherly, 30, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at UK's Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Born to Charles Matthew Weatherly and Rachel Rhiannon Bossio Reid on October 13, 1994, he will be remembered as one of the kindest souls to his family and friends. He loved his daughters very much and was excited to welcome a son in April 2025. Matthew had passion for working on any type of motor or vehicle, especially his Honda Civics. Even in his chosen profession he used his mechanical experience and interest daily as a Technician with MPW Industrial. He also enjoyed collecting Funko Pop figurines and target shooting. He was known to be witty and sarcastic, but well-liked by all who knew him.
Matthew will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Charles Matthew Weatherly, and Rachel (Darrin) Reid; his daughters, Stella Rose Weatherly and Scarlet Rhea Weatherly; his fiancé Mary Alice Mullikin; his brother, Andrew Weatherly, his sister, Ruby Asher, both of Georgetown, Kentucky; his maternal grandmother, Pam (Gary) Brooks; and his niece, Ansley Weatherly. He was looking forward to the family additions ahead, including his son and a niece. Matthew was preceded in death by his stepfather, Shannon Aubrey; his maternal grandfather, William Bailey; and his paternal grandparents, Bonnie and Larry Weatherly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm and continue until service time. Memorial donations are recommended to the Not Alone Pregnancy Center in Georgetown, Kentucky. Family and friends are encouraged to leave condolences and memories here on Matthew's tribute wall.
