In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Perry "Sib" Dye; daughter-in-law, Sherry Dye; granddaughter, Michele Bryant; two brothers, James Spencer and Fairley Spencer; seven sisters, Jane Harris, Thelma Griffith, Virgie Dye, Dolly Spencer, Dorothy Spencer, Vilet Kitts and Lucy Dye. In her generation, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include two children, Freddie Dye of Pine Creek, Virginia and Diane Patrick and husband, Keith of Belfast, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Jamie Patrick, Chris Dye, Jeff Dye, Brittany Dye, Mark Dye, Nick Alton and Zayden Dye; great-grandchildren, Jaydon Patrick, Josh Alton, Cody Alton, McKenzie Alton, M.J. Alton, Gracelynn Ramey, Luna Dye, Aelius Dye, Alexis Honaker, Jesse Osborne, Matt Bryant and Dylan Bryant; two great-great-grandchildren, Liam Bryant and Levi Whited; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Cook and Rev. Tommy Dye officiating. Interment will follow in the Hess Cemetery at Miller Creek, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Dye, Russell Dye, Mark Dye, Chris Stevens, Dillan Elam, Bernie Dye, Ronnie Dye and Gary "Gabby" Breedlove.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Patrick, Jeff Dye, Chris Dye, Doug Kitts, Billy Dye and Ralph Griffith.
The family will receive friends after 6 PM Monday at Honaker Funeral Home where an evening service will be conducted at 7 PM.
