Maureen Bier Obituary

Maureen E. Bier, 83, of Forked River, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, on March 20, 1942, Maureen was the beloved daughter of Marie Macrae. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Kenneth, and their much-loved son, Kenneth Jr. She is survived by her three devoted daughters, Cheryl (Fritz), Melissa (Robert), and Jaimee (Jason); her daughter-in-law, Adriane; her cherished grandchildren, Kenneth III (Julia), Roni (Thomas), Jacob, Corey, Christopher, Madalyn, and Alex; and her adored great-grandchildren, Evan, Louise, and Ryan. She is also survived by her nephews, Arthur and Brian, and Arthur's daughter, Christine.
Maureen will be remembered for her unwavering generosity, her deep care for others, and her steadfast belief in doing what was right. She had an open heart and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her. Whether she was supporting her family or offering a word of wisdom, Maureen lived each day guided by compassion and integrity. Her warmth, humor, and loyalty will continue to inspire those who loved her.
A mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, at St. Mary's RC Church, 747 West Bay Ave, Barnegat, NJ.
Maureen also had a lifelong affection for her dogs, each one a beloved companion. In her honor, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Associated Humane Societies at Popcorn Park Zoo (https://ahs.givecloud.co/tribute) in memory of Maureen Bier.

Maureen and I had been friends since I was 12 and Maureen 15. Our boyfriends, Kenny and Bobby grew up together. I´ll never forget when I first met her she thought I was a brat and for almost 70 years she loved reminding me! We shared a two family apartment, had our babies together. Maureen visited me in March 2017 and we celebrated her birthday. I will miss her for the rest of my life, there is a big hole in my heart that will remain empty.
