Maureen Fertitta Bugel

Concetta Maureen Fertitta Bugel (Maureen), 71, of Pearland, was called home to her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, October 29, 2022. She was born May 1, 1951 in Beaumont, to Johanna Parigi Fertitta and Louis John Fertitta. Maureen was an Early Childhood Development teacher for much of her adult life and loved working with her young students. She enjoyed traveling, shopping for a good bargain, and especially loved spending time at the beach with her beloved family searching for shells, sand dollars, beach glass, and other treasures of the sea.
Maureen is survived by her husband of 44 years, George Bugel, her sons; Mikel Bugel and his wife Ashley, of Pearland and John Bugel and his wife, Deena, of Pearland, her grandchildren; Gracie, Avery, Levi, Emily, Kate, Elijah, and Teddy, her siblings; Jo Lois Malain and her husband, John, Henry Fertitta, and Fran Fertitta and her sister-in-law; Betty Crawford.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law, and her sister-in-law.
A gathering of Maureen's family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 1:30 p.m., and her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
