Maureen Canavan, age 79, of Hingham, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025.
Maureen was a graduate of Quincy College, Laboure College, and Curry College. A registered nurse for 37 years, Maureen touched countless lives with her deft skill, compassionate spirit, and unyielding advocacy for her patients.
Maureen was the beloved wife of Robert Canavan for 55 years and the devoted mother of three daughters, Maura Talbot, and her husband Richard, Joan Kilban, and her husband Mark, and Nancy Anderson, and her husband Timothy.
Maureen’s greatest pride and joy were her five grandchildren, Kevin Talbot, and his fiancée Julia Foley, Kathleen Kilban, Colleen Talbot, Sean Kilban, and Maria Anderson who will forever carry her love and warmth in their lives.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, 147 North St., Hingham on Tuesday, September 30th at 10 am. Burial in High Street Cemetery, Hingham.
