She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, John Chiu; parents, Shing Tham and Wai Ming Ho; and siblings, Irene Wong and Michael Tham.
She is survived by her loving children, Johnny Chiu (Michelle), Yolanda Lu (David), Valiant Chiu (Angela), and Melody Chung (Vicente); grandchildren, Iva Chen (Aaron), Clayton Cheung (Ida), Stacey Takeshita (Jared), Garron Chiu, Vivian Chiu, Marcus Chiu, Tiffany Barrett (Ethan), and Matthew Chung (Diana); and great grandchildren, Ellie Chen, Jaden Cheung, Isabella Cheung, Elijah Cheung, Evan Takeshita, and Colin Takeshita. Maureen is also survived by numerous other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, located at 607 E. Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78752. A light dinner will be served.
This will conclude services.
