Shung Chiu Obituary

Born in Macau in 1953, Shung Chi graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a degree in Civil Engineering. He spent over 30 years working in the United States Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban development. Chi loved retirement and enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, playing mahjong with friends and spending time with his grandchildren.
Chi is survived by his wife, Grace, and their children, Amy Ogoszewski (Michael) and Ivy Pettignano (Michael), his two grandchildren, Milo and Kai, and his brothers, Shung Kwok and Shung Kee. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his sister, Claudia.
Chi will be remembered for his kindness, integrity and love for his family. His generosity and loyalty were gifts to anyone who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and/or Doctors Without Borders.
