It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen Elizabeth Gale, who died peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 3:59 PM, the hour of Divine Mercy, surrounded by her family.
Maureen was a woman of great faith, whose unwavering belief in the Lord guided her through every chapter of her life. Her joyful spirit lit up every room she entered. She was known for her infectious sense of humor, her love of singing and dancing, and the many jokes she delighted in telling. Maureen brought laughter and light to those around her, and her legacy of joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She gave life to and deeply loved four girls, Angela, Jackie, Rosie, and Sarah Grace. Despite the challenges she faced, her love for them was a constant source of her strength. She was so proud of each of them.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Leslie Theresa Gale O'Connor, and her father Harrison Wilbur Gale Jr, also known as "Bud". Some would say Maureen got her giggly sense of humor from Bud! She is survived by her mother Rosa Garcia Gale and three siblings, Steven Gale, Kevin Gale, and Colleen Gale Roa, who share in the deep loss of two beloved sisters. She will be remembered for the strength, kindness, and compassion she showed to all even in her darkest days.
Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched, and her legacy of love, laughter and faith will never be forgotten.
A funeral service and mass will be held in the Spring of 2025, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life in Maryland. Details to follow.
