Maureen Kellogg Obituary
Maureen was born in Canandaigua and attended Canandaigua schools. She was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, class of 2000. Maureen earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and health sciences at SUNY Brockport, class of 2004. She was a social worker at Thompson Hospital for 15 years and was currently working on her master's degree. After Maureen's first bout with cancer, she decided to pursue her passion for midwifery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She was due to graduate in 2024 and was looking forward to a career in home births. Maureen enjoyed traveling, camping, but most of all, spending time with her family and attending her son's sporting events.
Friends may call Friday, June 2, from 4-7pm, at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Her memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 3, at 11am, at St. Mary's Church, 95 N. Main St., Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for her son's education. Condolences may be offered at www.johnsonkennedy.com.

I got to know Maureen through her involvement as a student member of the ACNM Committee for the Advancement of the Certified Midwife Credential and as her faculty for several graduate midwifery courses. Though still a student, her absence in midwifery is felt deeply. My sincere condolences to her husband, children, and family. May she rest in peace. May her memory be a blessing.
