Maureen/ Mosey (McGarry) McGahan, 85, of Red Bank NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

Born on January 30th, 1940, in West Brighton, Staten Island, NY she was the beloved wife of the late Edward (Mac) McGahan, Sr and a devoted mother to her children: Sharon McGahan and her partner Freddie Vazquez; Lynne (McGahan) Lehrkinder and husband Thomas (Ziggy) Lehrkinder; and Edward McGahan Jr and his wife Hitomi McGahan. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Meaghan Windisch; Kelsey (Windisch) Gravanis and husband Dimitri Gravanis; Tim Lehrkinder; Ryan (Lehrkinder) Schrader and husband Bailey Schrader; Patrick Lehrkinder and wife Jacqueline Lehrkinder; Morgan McGahan and Thomas Mcgahan and her great- grandchildren, Casey Schrader and Maia Gravanis.

Maureen enjoyed many years vacationing in St. Maarten, Long Beach Island, NJ, Pocono Pines, PA, Greenwood Lake and Ridgefield, CT with her family and many friends.

She graduated from Curtis High School and the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School.

She worked at Chase Manhattan Bank prior to starting a family. She also volunteered and worked at her parish, Our Lady of Good Counsel. In later years, Maureen worked with her high school friends at the Abbey Pub and then Blaine and Noone's in her neighborhood of West Brighton.

Upon moving to Red Bank, NJ Maureen enjoyed retirement with her husband Ed in Shadow Lake Village.

Her past 3 years she spent at Bayside Manor in Keansburg , NJ where she was known for her sassy sense of humor and quick wit.

Her family will abide by her wishes and enjoy a celebratory family meal together while raising many a toast to Mosey.
