It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Maurice "Moe" Lizotte, who passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. Moe was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his passing, just as he had been a constant source of love and support for others throughout his life.
Moe lived an extraordinary and storied life, filled with cherished moments spent with family, friends, and all those who were fortunate to know him. Over the past thirty-one years, Moe and Mark shared an unbreakable bond, one built on mutual respect, laughter, and unwavering friendship. He was a kind, compassionate soul who touched the hearts of everyone around him.
His love for his family and friends was immeasurable, and his capacity for kindness and generosity will not be forgotten. Moe’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, the love he gave, and the memories he created. He was a man who deeply appreciated the simple joys of life, and he leaves behind a lasting impact that will continue to resonate for years to come.
Moe is now at peace, and though he will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on in all of us who were fortunate enough to have shared in his life. We will remember him joyously, honoring his memory as we continue to carry him with us in our hearts.
Maurice is preceded by his parents, Sarto Joseph Lizotte & Louise King Lizotte.
Left to cherish his memory, Maurice is survived by his loving husband, Mark Leanhart; sister, Annette Reynolds (Joseph); brother, Edmund Lizotte (Janelle); mother-in-law, JJ Hendricks; father & mother-in-law, Michael & Karen Leanhart; 5 brothers-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; many nieces & nephews; and a host of extended family and close friends.
