Maurice Robert "Buddy" Seagraves, age 93, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Monday, December 30, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 3, 2025 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton, Georgia.
A native of Lebanon, TN, Mr. Seagraves Lived in Panama City Beach, FL for 20 years before moving back to Powder Springs, GA a couple of years ago. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean War. Afterwards, he became a machinist, and worked for Lockheed for a period of time before retiring from AT&T after 28 years of employment. He was a longtime member of Macland Baptist Church, and the Sons of Confederate Veterans organization. He was also a 50+ year member of the Masonic Lathem Lodge #12 in Austell, GA. Mr. Seagraves loved spending his free time fishing and quality time with his beloved great granddaughter, Evelyn.. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Seagraves, and a granddaughter, Heather Nash.
Survivors include: Daughter, Christie (Joe) Nash, Powder Springs, GA; 2 Grandchildren, Robert (Whitney) Nash, and Sara Nash; Great Granddaughter, Evelyn Elise Nash.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
