Obituary
Maurice Stone was born on June 13, 1959 to Francene
Mitchell and lovingly adopted by Dr. Herman and Mary Stone of
Jackson, TN.
Maurice Stone received his formal education at Jackson Central –
Merry High School in Jackson, TN.
He furthered his education at Memphis State University for
undergrad and IBM Corporate Training School at Cambridge,
MA.
Maurice accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and continued
to practice his faith throughout his life where he served as a lead
musician and business consultant.
Maurice was united in holy matrimony with Stephanie Lenoir on
July 27, 1991 in Martin, TN. Their union was blessed with four
children.
Maurice was a lifelong entrepreneur creating and consulting and
assisting many private and public companies.
Membership and Organizations: '77 Cougars, P.U.M.A Brothers,
National Black Chamber of Commerce, Who's Who in Black
Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Herman and Mary
Stone; stepfather, Hugh R. Williams, III; and brother, Hugh R.
Williams, IV.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Stephanie Lenoir Stone;
three daughters, Anna Carter (Joseph Brian Potier), Tiffany
Goldenstone (Scott Benfield), and Maury (Marquise) Bryant; son,
Stephen (Willa) Stone; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Joshua, Elisa,
Garland, Marquise, Alan, and Misty; five great-grandchildren;
mother, Francene Williams; brothers, Richard (Cynthia) and
Michael (Amber) Williams; one sister-in-law, April Williams; and
a host of relatives and friends.
