Anthony Garvin Crichlow, 59, passed away on August 1, 2024, in Missouri City, Texas. Born on November 9, 1964, in San Fernando, Trinidad, Anthony's life journey took him from Trinidad to St. Croix and eventually to Baytown, Texas, where he was raised.
A proud alumnus of Robert E. Lee High School ( Baytown) and McNeese State University, Anthony was a gifted basketball player, a record-holding high jumper, and a skilled musician. He had a passion for building and rebuilding things that led him to construct sports and race cars. Anthony's love for music was evident in his collection of guitars and other various musical instruments coupled with the late nights and long hours spent in his home music studio. He also found joy in flying his beautiful gas powered RC planes.
Anthony spent his career in construction as an instrumentation fitter and field service project manager, working for companies such as PCL Construction, TIC, Proserve Operations and Mako Industries. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished brother, uncle, and grandfather. In addition he was the life of the party, a traveler, student of life, influencer, a mentor and friend to many. To those who knew him, he was a "Jedi" -a beacon of wisdom, guidance, and strength. Anthony worked hard, gave freely and loved deeply.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Leona Crichlow. He is survived by his loving wife Faye Crichlow; son, Anthony N. Crichlow; and beloved grandchildren, Anthony and Vivian. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Turner, Janice Crichlow, Dionne Crichlow, and Tamara Crichlow; his stepchildren, Kevin Choice, Trevion McGee, Latoya Choice-Tucker, and Latricia Choice; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, step grandchildren and sister and brother in laws.
Anthony's life was a testament to his endless curiosity, creativity, generosity and love for those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
