Maurice Dwayne Triplett, Sr., lovingly known as "Reese", was born on July 30, 1982, in Camden, New Jersey, to Doris Triplett and the late Thomas Allen. Reese gained his heavenly wings on May 4, 2025, with his family by his side.
Reese moved to Delaware when he was around 12 years old and attended Springer Middle School, Mt. Pleasant High School and Concord High School. He began working at Pat's Pizza on Concord Pike in Wilmington, DE, where he met the love of his life, Heather Jones. The two married and shared 20 beautiful years together. Reese was a loving father of 4 amazing children: Ivy, Key'Airah, Nazere and Tatyana. He loved is his family every day with an "Attitude of Gratitude".
Reese had a heart of gold and always made time for everyone. He never said a bad word about anyone and wouldn't even hurt a fly, literally. He loved going for walks and would stop to talk with everyone he met along the way. Reese truly loved people, especially his family and friends. He took pride in being a devoted son, brother, husband, father, and friend. To his children, nieces, nephews, and all their friends, he was a role model, someone they could always look up to. Reese was gentle when he spoke, but his words carried a quiet wisdom that stayed with you long after the conversation ended.
Reese enjoyed watching motivational videos and documentaries. He was incredibly knowledgeable and had a deep love for history. He was extremely talented and could do anything with a natural ease that made it seem effortless. He wrote poetry, worked on cars, cooked with passion, and with his love of music, played the guitar. Reese was a huge Bob Marley fan. He enjoyed watching Chicago P.D. and every show by Chef Gordon Ramsay. He dreamed of starting his own catering business and even created his own Cajun mayo. Reese was a big San Francisco 49ers fan who never missed a chance to cheer them on with heart and passion. Reese also took great pride in taking care of his body. He loved to exercise and became a pescatarian in 2021. His favorite meal was Cajun catfish.
Reese lived his life with "No Regrets" and often reminded his family and friends that he could, because he had an "Attitude of Gratitude".
Reese leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished by his wife, Heather Triplett; four children, Ivy "Reesie" Triplett, Key'Airah Warren, Nazere Jones, Tatyana Triplett; mother, Doris Triplett; siblings, Darnell Young, Derrick Young, Donna Allen, Thomas Allen, Irvin Dunlap, Denice Dunlap, and Antwan Triplett; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, special family and friends who adored him.
