Mauro F. Ybarra

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Mauro Frederick Ybarra, the beloved patriarch of The Ybarra Family. Mauro entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the age of 81. He was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Mauro Ybarra and Wanda Jean Beason Ybarra, raised in Carrizo Springs, Texas by his grandparents, Manuel & Refugia "Cuca" Vega.

Mauro is preceded in death by the love of his life Maria Robles Ybarra; his beloved grandson, Omar Ybarra Jr., as well as his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his four sons; Mauro Ybarra III, Mauricio Ybarra (wife, Marina Ybarra), Omar Ybarra (wife, Sheila R. Ybarra), & Jesus Juan Ybarra (wife, Angie Ybarra), eight grandchildren; Jessica Ybarra, Mauro Ybarra IV, Victoria Ybarra, Anika Ybarra Santana, Marcos Ybarra, Maris Ybarra, Josef Ybarra & Jacob Ybarra, six great-grandchildren; Kaylyn Jean Martinez, Alexina Genevieve Schexneider, Christian Noel Garza, Xavier Rocket Santana, Dallas Reed Santana, & Lyanna Grace Garza, as well as many other family members who deeply cherished and will miss him dearly.

Mauro lived with his wife and children in Chicago, Illinois before returning to Carrizo Springs to raise his children and establish his family business, Ybarra Concrete Construction, which has operated in Texas for around 50 years. Mauro is known as a well-respected, hardworking businessman, a devoted & loving husband, father, grandfather, and family man.

To his family, Mauro was a pillar of love, strength, compassion, loyalty & humility. His memory will live on through the values he instilled & the kindness he shared. His stories of life, his wisdom & the memorable humor he brought to make everyone around him happy, even up to his last days, will never be forgotten. May he rest in everlasting peace.

Serving as pallbearers are: Mauricio Ybarra, Jesus Juan Ybarra, Mario Hernandez, Richard Robles, Javier Santana & Noel Garza. Honorary Pallbearers are: Mauro Ybarra III, Omar Ybarra, & Ernesto Gonzalez.

Viewing will be held at Leonard's Funeral Home, 707 W Houston St, Carrizo Springs, TX. 78834 on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 4- 9p.m.

Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church will be held at 10a.m on Saturday, November 15, 2025 followed by interment at Mount Hope Cemetery.
