Max never met a stranger and could find anything in common with any person he came across. Another man's trash was Max's treasure. He enjoyed antiquing and collecting many different things like scales, wagon wheels, tractors and Phillips 66 memorabilia.
He was proud of his Czech heritage and often traveled to Czech festivals in Kansas and Nebraska. Dumplings and poppyseed kolaches were his personal favorites.
Max loved spending time with his daughters and later in life found a new kind of love when it came to his grandkids. He was also an animal lover and maintained the closest thing to a farm that the City limits would allow. Spending time in and on his yard brought him solitude that couldn't be found indoors.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Duda; father-in-law, Philip Edwards; and brother-in-law, Arthur Cherek.
He is survived by his wife, Shannon Duda; daughters, Kaitlin Peele (Zach) and Amanda Duda; mother, Geraldine Duda; mother-in-law, Doris Edwards; brothers, Randy, Mark (Donna), Michael and Edward Duda; sister, Kristine Cherek; grandchildren, Violet, Sebastian and August Peele; and niece and nephews.
