Max Allen Uchtman, 61, of Fordland, departed this life on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Mercy Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was born on February 25, 1964, in Springfield, Missouri the son of the late Chester and Mildred Uchtman.
Max was born, raised and has always resided in Fordland, Missouri. He graduated from Fordland High School with his friends in the class of 1982. He worked at Ash Grove Lime Quarry, was a dairy farmer and farmed beef cows. He frequented the sale barns and was an avid hunter of deer and other wildlife.
Max always had time for everyone in need. If he could not help, he knew who to call for that help. He loved watching his grandkids grow and attending their sporting events and he loved on each one in his own way and gave each one unique nick names. To know Max is to love him, he will be missed. Max accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior on May 25, 2025. He told his grandkids and friends not to worry about him because he is with Jesus now.
Max was husband to Kim; father to Brandon and Amy, Brian and Tara, and Brandy and Clay; grandfather to Jace "Fuzz", Laney "Chunky Butt", Weston "Rastus", Lilly "Shorty", Kimberly "Sis", Brody "Possum Cod" Chet "Bullfrog", July "Goob", Ryland "Peewee", Brady, Zach, Nathan and Molly; his brothers, Jim and wife Janice, Jack and wife Brenda, and Randy and wife Janice; his sister, Alba Ayers and husband Jamie; his father-in-law, Paul Farnsworth; two brothers-in-law, David and Danny Farnsworth; a sister-in-law, Lana Wilson; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Betty Farnsworth.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 31, 2025, with funeral services following at 1:00 pm at J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home in Rogersville. Burial will follow at Fordland Cemetery, Fordland.
Memorial donations may be made to B's Place LLC, B Strong Scholarship Foundation, 553 Bowers Lane, Fordland, MO 65652.
