Mr. Maxie Graves, age 65, of Woodburn, KY, passed away on Wednesday, January 4th , 2023 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11th , 2023 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11th at 12:00 PM with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
Maxie was born on August 31st, 1957 in Franklin, KY to the late Sam Bergan Graves and the late
Bessie Louise (Hicks) Graves. He is also preceded in death by 8 siblings, Ed "Monkey" Graves, Albert Graves, Margaret Dillard, Joyce Freeman, Nancy Redferrin, Thomas Graves, Baby Graves and Jewell Mathenly.
He is survived by his son, Jason Graves of Franklin, KY; 1 brother, Wayne Graves of Cross Plains, TN; 2 sisters, Mary Jane Anderson (Charles) of Franklin, KY and Janette Eaton (Alton) of Franklin, KY; and 2 grandchildren, Hannah Graves and Bryson Graves.
Maxie was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed to fish and sing. Maxie also loved jewelry, knives, and any collectibles.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 325 West Cedar St. Franklin, KY, 42134 to help with Mr. Graves's final expenses. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
