Maximillian Paul Tancraitor, Sr., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Maureen Berry Tancraitor; as well as his twin brother, Otto, and his older brother, John. He is survived by his two sons, William David, and Maximillian Paul, Jr.; his sister, Sister Maxine Tancraitor; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He served his country honorably as a Korean War era veteran, having attained the rank of Sergeant First Class, whose job it was to train people in the repair and maintenance of every manner of motorized vehicle. He went on in civilian life to work as a truck mechanic until his retirement. Max loved to cook, especially the family's holiday feasts. He liked working in the yard with William, but without a doubt, his favorite pleasure was going fishing with him, something he loved dearly. My brother, William, always said he thought of Dad as his best friend, and in a sense, he was mine as well. Our love for him and Mom will never halt or falter. May the Lord bless and keep them both. Arrangements are private and entrusted to the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950.) www.jobefuneralhome.com
