Maxine Marie Neibauer was born April 20, 1932, to Albert and Mary (Krysl) Ziska. She grew up on a farm south of Stuart. She went to a one room country school but finished her education at St. Joseph's School in Atkinson, where she graduated in 1950.
On October 15, 1951, she married Freddie Neibauer and to this union 5 children were born. They spent their life in the Stuart and Atkinson areas. Maxine raised her 4 children while working on the family farm.
Maxine cooked for about 4 or 5 restaurants in town. She loved to cook, garden, canning, fishing, playing cards, camping, putting puzzles together, and being with her family. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Maxine is survived by her children; Cindy Effle & husband Roger of Orchard, Kathey Beck of Atkinson, Randy Neibauer and Tom Neibauer both of Stuart; Grandchildren Marty Effle, Tami Effle, Derek (DeAnna) Beck, Wade Beck, Ashley (Jim) York, Amber (Brandon) Wilson, Brittany (Spencer) Endorf, Cole (Sara) Neibauer, & Cassie Neibauer (fiancé Tyler Baille); and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Freddie, infant son Joseph, Brother Robert Ziska, Father & Mother-in-law Fred & Orra Neibauer, and Sister & Brother-in-law Winnie & Charles Ankney.
