Maxine P. Silvas passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, surrounded by her two loving daughters, Melody and Melissa.
Born on March 7, 1947, in Watsonville , California, Maxine was the daughter of Hazel Corroll and Paul Corroll. She was a devoted Southern Baptist, and her faith was an important part of her life.
At the age of 18, Maxine married her soulmate after just four days, beginning a beautiful love story that lasted 60 years. Together, she and her husband built a strong and loving family. She was the proud mother of Debra Delgado (Angel), Ernie Silvas Jr. (deceased), Melody Silvas Hernandez (Juan, deceased), and Melissa Silvas Labra (Roberto), and a loving stepmother to Luana Silvas. She was a cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren and a beloved great-grandmother to many great-grandchildren. She also lovingly helped raise two of her grandchildren, Alicia Hernandez and Christian Silvas, who held a special place in her heart.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Silvas; one sister; one son; one son-in-law; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
Maxine was a resident of Rocky Mountain Care, where her loving husband spent the final year of his life faithfully by her side. In her time there, her daughter Melody also spent countless days and hours with her, offering unwavering love, comfort, and devotion.
She will be remembered for her deep love for her family, her strong faith, and the lasting legacy of love she leaves behind.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate care team at Rocky Mountain Nursing Home, with special appreciation for Nurse Wendy, who held a very special place in Maxine’s heart.
Maxine will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of her family.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 11 am with a viewing prior to the service from 10 to 1045 am at Aaron’s Mortuary, 1050 South State Street, Clearfield, Utah. Interment will follow at the Clearfield City Cemetery.
