There will be no services for Maxine Taylor at her request. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.
Maxine Therese Taylor, daughter of William C. and Friederike Josefine (Martin) Schluessell, was born December 10, 1947, in Wiesbaden, Germany and passed away November 11, 2025, at Alva at the age of 77 years, 11 months, and one day.
She came to the United States as a young woman and spent many years living both here and abroad in Germany and Greece as a proud military wife. Later she returned to the U.S., making her home in Denver to be close to several of her children. In 2013, she moved to Buffalo, Oklahoma, and later to Alva where she spent her remaining years. Maxine enjoyed painting and drawing and was very artistic. She also enjoyed making jewelry and painting ceramics.
Besides her parents, William and Friederike, she was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Schluessell.
Maxine is survived by her children, Steve Madrid and wife, Melissa, of Alva, Mechelle Abeyta and husband, Rick, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Desmond Allen and Sabrina Hodges of Denver, Colorado, Erika Suzzi and husband, Chris, of Melbourne, Florida, Jurgen Allen and wife, Jessica, of Denver, Colorado, Ursula Belyayev and husband, Alexey, of Spanish Fort, Utah, and Stevan Taylor and wife, Nicole, of Guam; a sister of Atlanta, Georgia; twelve grandchildren, Karsyn McKnight and husband, Kennedy, Boden Madrid, Jacob Abeyta and wife, Victoria Abeyta Valdez, Naomi Abeyta, Madison Suzzi, Kristin Suzzi, Rhea Taylor, Kal-El Taylor, Athena Belyayev, Timofey Belyayev, Hilary Hugaboom, and Dalia Allen ; three great grandchildren, Waylon and Colter McKnight and Jovi Valdez; other relatives and friends.

Maxine will be deeply missed by so many, she was a joy to be around, her laughter, shanigans jokes and all the joy she brought to others will be remembered. Rest well lovely lady.
