Maynard Reed Obituary
Mr. Maynard Bailey Reed, 81, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Born in Forsyth County to the late Milton Bailey and Laura Money Reed, Maynard retired from Reynolds Tobacco after many dedicated years of service. He was an avid golfer and a faithful member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daryl Reed.
He is survived by his sister, Gail Perdue; niece, Karen Dowell (Michael); nephew, David Perdue; and a special friend and cousin, Pat Money.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM prior to the service at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, 3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Interment will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
Arrangements are being handled by Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Online condolences may be shared at www.hayworth-miller.com.
