Thomas "Shawn" Lockard, 53, of Thomasville, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Shawn was Born in Forsyth County to Thomas Jerome and Pamela Rogers Lockard, Shawn was a devoted son, father, partner, and friend.
He worked as an Implementation Manager for Ericcson International, where he was known for his dedication and leadership.
Shawn had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed playing golf, relaxing with a cold brew and chicken wings, and was an avid skateboarder in his younger years. He was a longtime fan of Pearl Jam and other artists, finding joy and connection through music. But more than anything, Shawn loved spending time with his family-his greatest source of pride and happiness.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lockard.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Pamela Lockard of Winston-Salem; his loving partner, Christine Westmoreland of the home; his children, Jordan Lockard (Tyler) of Troutman, Hailey Wardell (Matt) of Thomasville, and Carson Lockard (Susanna) of Archdale; Partners Children, Abigail Westmoreland of Charlotte and Zachary Janoski (Jesse) of Maryland; grandchildren, Harlow Lockard, Myka Bianchi, Mia Lockard, Hudson Wardell, Braylen Wardell, Harper Lockard, and Hayden Lockard; a cousin, Joy Bowen; and his beloved dog, Jax.
A memorial service will be held in the mausoleum chapel at Forsyth Memorial Park on Friday 08/15/2025 at 3:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LifeShare Carolinas. In his passing, Shawn gave the precious gift of life through organ donation with LifeShare. The family invites those wishing to honor Shawn's memory to make a contribution to LifeShare.
