Mazell Goforth Obituary
Ms. Goforth,94, of Philadelphia died Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
Ms. Mazell was born and raised in Neshoba County and attended House Community School. She served for 17 years as MS Baptist Association Secretary and she loved to sew, crochet, cook and take care of her grandchildren. Ms. Goforth was a longtime member of First Baptist Church pf Philadelphia.
Survivors include daughter, Melisa Lewis (Bernard) of Philadelphia; granddaughter, Nikki Walton (Rodney) of Lake MS; grandson, Josh Lewis (Lindsey) of Philadelphia; four great-grandchildren, Rayleigh, Maddie, Rhett and Hayes; brother, Horace Russell (Glenda) of Neshoba County; several nieces, nephews and their families
Ms. Goforth was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Ray Goforth; parents, Harmon and Vessie Russell; sister, Alene Logan; brothers, Grady and Thurman Russell.
Pallbearers: Herman Russell, Burlon Russell, Bernard Lewis, Jeremiah Russell, Josh Lewis and Rodney Walton.
