Mazie L. Wells

On March 7, 1951, Mazie Leona Wells of Three Rivers, Mississippi was born to the late Albert Wells and Azell Nicholson Wells. Mazie passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on August 10th, 2025.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized into the Antioch Baptist Church family. She served as a Sunday School Teacher, Financial Secretary and an Usher for many years. Mazie was very dedicated to the Lord and to the Church until her passing.
Mazie attended East Central High School. She mastered several degrees in Business Administration and Computer Technology. She was employed with Ingalls Shipbuilding and Singing River Hospital. Mazie was also an Insurance Agent among other trades.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Azell Wells; her brother, John E. Wells; her sister, Shirley D. Wells; her Maternal grandparents, Ed & Viola Nicholson; her paternal grandparents, John & Sarah Wells; her nephew, DeCarlos "Tubby" McCann; her sister-in-law, Kim Y. Whigham Wells, her brother Calvin (Joker) Reddix.
Mazie's memories will be cherished by: Ten wonderful Sisters, Hazel Wells, Alternett McCann, Thelma Wells, Dorotha (Alvin) Wells, Sadie (Willie) McCann, Lillie Bovastro, Judyette Riles, Annie Smith, Karen Linda Wells, Marilyn King, Linda Faye Reddix, ToShika & Vickie Jones Esther Stallworth.
Ten terrific Brothers: Albert Wells, Kenneth Wells, Jackie Wells, Bobby (Deloris) Wells, Michael (Mary) Wells, Joshua Wells, Don Wells, Derrick (LeoQueita) Reddix, Alvin McGown, and Glenn (Lynden) Spears.
A loving and very devoted God daughter: Ashton Wells.
As Mazie affectionately named "the daughter she never had": Ja'de (Eric) Scott.

A special thanks to a true care giver at heart, Sheverneek Wells, who acted as her personal nurse; Thelma Wells, Linda Faye Reddix, Marilyn King, Donnie and Barbara McMillian who consistently accompanied her to medical appointments.
