Melinda Demaray, 66, a resident of Marlette, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Melinda was born on April 2, 1958 in Marlette to the late James and Bette (Groh) Glover. She graduated from Marlette High School with the class of 1976. Melinda married her high school sweetheart, William Demaray Jr. on August 5, 1978. She worked for Midwest Rubber and then became a homemaker. Melinda liked to work on sewing projects, bake cookies, go camping and spending time up north at the cabin.
Melinda is survived by her husband, Bill Demaray Jr; two children, Bill (Karen) Demaray of Frankenmuth and Amy (Jamey) Hackel of Clio; three grandchildren, Oliver, Meredith and Aria; brother, Richard (RuthAnn) Glover; sister, Carolyn (Rod) Brown; mother-in-law, Evon Demaray; sister-in-law, Penny (Alan) Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.
Melinda was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bette; father-in-law, William Demaray Sr.; and brother, Ronald Glover.
As per Melinda's request, no funeral services will be held. Cremation has taken place and her cremated remains will be laid to rest at Speaker Township Cemetery in Melvin.
A special thank you goes out to all the care facilities that have helped Melinda with kind and compassionate care.
Memorials may be made in her honor to United Hospice Residence of Marlette Regional Hospital.
