Melinda Ann Shangeaux was born on January 22, 1983 in Gordon, NE to Daniel Mousseaux, Jr. and Marlene Mae (Shangreaux) Hernandez. Melinda made her journey to the Spirit World on October 28, 2024 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Melinda is survived by her children, Michael Shangreaux, Daniel Shangreaux, Kiley and Kiah Shangreaux, and Serenity Shangreaux; hunka father, Jerry Richards; sisters, Tanya Hernandez, Lynn Hernandez, Iris Hernandez, Viola Hernandez, Danetta Mousseaux, Carol Rouillard, and Lorraine Salway; brothers, Curtis Hernandez, Ed Mousseaux, and Seth "Kermit" Salway, aunt, Davrine Shangreaux; Onyx, Lyric, & Hayden, Peyton, Morgan, Liam, Kenya, Emmett, & Marcella; and numerous extended family members.
Melinda was preceded in death by her parents, Marlene Hernandez and Daniel Mousseaux, Jr.; siblings, Craig Mousseaux, Daniel "Chop" Mousseaux III, James Mousseaux, Harlan Shangreaux, and Dennis Barnes; maternal grandparents, Viola Ruff and David Shangreaux; paternal grandparents, Victoria Imitates Dog and Daniel Mousseaux, Sr.; aunts, Arlene Richards, Velma Wheeler, and Winona Cottier; and uncles, Orville Shangreaux, Johnny "Boom" Shangreaux, Kenneth Shangreaux, Roby Shangreaux, and Percy Shangreaux.
