Melissa Ann Arrington

MELISSA ANN ARRINGTON, age 66, of Piqua, OH passed away at 5:34 PM on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Stillwater Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Covington, OH. Melissa was born in Piqua, OH on November 19, 1954 to the late Lawrence and Viola (Slifer) Reed.
Melissa is survived by three sons: Jone M. Arrington, Piqua; Elliott (Shevelta) Grigsby, Huber Heights; and Ryan M. Arrington, Troy; one sister: Sharmon Craun; and grandchildren: Jaydon Arrington, Braylen Collins, Meadow Arrington, Duante Shock, Kaeden Shock, Dakota Arrington, Abigayle Arrington, Elliott Grigsby Jr., Cydney J. Grigsby, and Elijah Grigsby.
Melissa put her faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, whom she gave praise openly and often. Understanding her eternity by God the Fathers mercy, was sealed by the Holy Spirit.
Melissa worked at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Dayton Ohio and did data entry at Upper Valley Medical Center. She loved the color green like her eyes, making jewelry, collecting purses, and buying and selling antiques. She especially loved her cats, Maggie and Emma. She liked to go to Broadway shows, being in the front row at concerts, and traveling with her friends. Melissa also enjoyed visiting Yellow Springs with her family, where she liked to walk around, drink from the Springs, and see the waterfall at Glen Helen Nature Preserve.
A celebration of Melissa's life will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Elevation Point Church, 725 Lincoln Avenue, Troy, OH 45373. Ms. Arrington's arrangements are in care of Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua.
