Melissa is survived by her two children Taylor Jean Engler and Dustin Lane Higdon; brother Michael Ward; mother Sharon Wager; "very special" grandchildren Aubrey, Bryson and Theodore; nieces and nephews Tracy Morris, Elisha Cobb, Kathryn Powell and Alexis Ward; as well as eleven great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Christine Morris.
A Family hosted Celebration of Life will be held for everyone to gather, socialize and share memories of Melissa at Riverside Park, 299 S. Riverside Drive, New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32168 Sunday September 21, 2025 at 2pm - all children are welcomed. Melissa will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Our family wishes to thank everyone for their sympathy and compassion at this time.
