Melissa Shrope Obituary

Missy served as the Director of 911 in Beauregard Parish, where she was devoted to her work and community. She loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren. Her dedication and compassion touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Alexis Allen and husband Garett, Bryce Shrope, Sloan Shrope, and Grayson Beatty; grandchildren, Kali, Kamryn, Kason, Bentley, Blaise, Diesel, Lyric, and Melody; siblings, Dot Brown, and Jimmy Shrope and wife Dee Dee.
She is preceded in death her grandson, Remington Lane; and parents, J.O. and Diane Shrope.
Family will receive friends Saturday September 20, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Riley Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th St. DeQuincy, Louisiana. Rev. Jason Hazelton and Rev. Lewis King will be officiating. Interment will be held at Hyatt Cemetery, Fields, Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the funeral home.
