Melody Beattie Obituary
Melody Beattie died Friday, March 17, 2023 at the Madison Hospital at the age of 72.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church in Madison.
Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church.
Melody Beattie was born on September 4, 1950 in West Warwick, Rhode Island to Louis and Helena Hunt. Melody married Sheldon Beattie in Minneapolis on November 27, 1982. She spent most of her years working as CNA. After her retirement Melody enjoyed volunteering at Hilltop Senior Living, calling bingo, playing cards or just enjoying a cup of coffee and sharing stories with the residents.
Melody is survived by her husband, Sheldon; step children: Shannon (Racquel) Beattie, Montevideo, MN, Shellene (fiancé Russ) Beattie, Monticello, MN, Sherra Beattie, Florida; 9 step grandchildren; 14 step-great grandchildren; siblings: Shirley (Ken) Walbeck, Ocala, FL, Claudette Hunt, West Warwick, RI, Louse (Tom) McCullough, Capital Height, MD, Doreen Gean, Ballington, RI, Louis (Nadine) Hunt Jr., Grafton, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Helena Hunt; sisters: Betty Hunt, and Ann Williams.
