Melvin Jones III

Melvin Jones III, AKA "Tbone, Mellie Mel, Mr. Buddy," soul returned to the bosom of our Heavenly Father on November 2, 2025, at the age of 46. Melvin was born to the union of Pauline Jones and the late Melvin Jones, Jr. He is survived by his beautiful children Melannie, Makayla, and Matthew, two grandchildren: Xander, Amyrah, brothers: Gerone McNulty (Destiny), Paul Lee Jones (Latoria), and his mother Pauline Jone-Carter. Also survived by the love of his life Jade Tate, and a host of loving relatives and friends. Melvin was the proud owner of Bail Bond America in Baton Rouge, LA and a sub bail bond producer for Free Me Bail Bonds of New Orleans, LA. He also worked for Benton, LLC (concrete contractor) of Gonzales, LA. Preceded in death by his father Melvin Jones Jr, grandparents Melvin Jones Sr., Theresa Travis Jones, and his brother, Royal Jones. Family, friends, and co-workers are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, November 15, 2025, for 10:00 a.m. at The Church At New Orleans (CANO), 11700 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans, LA 70129. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Curtis Brown, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave, Gretna, LA 70056.
